Love my Girls!

I'm about to say goodbye to my fun convertible.  I actually don't drive it much. I drive my Honda Odyssey.  My friends always laugh at me because I'd much rather drive my van than my nice convertible.  It's just so much more convenient.  Now on beautiful days, I'll take the convertible!!! :) Lamar has been talking to car dealerships all day trying to find a good trade in for my sweet little car. Actually, Lamar is the one who has ended up driving my convertible that he bought me 5 years ago.  He just wants something cheap to drive a couple of miles to and from work. He drove to Dallas from Monroe to pick me up this car.  The Dallas dealer bought him a one way airline ticket to Dallas and Lamar drove my Audi back to Monroe.  He did it all in one day. I have loved having a convertible....before this one, I had a BMW convertible for a couple of years (I loved it but it was WAY too small) so I've been driving convertibles for 7 years.  And, ...
Last week, my sweet friend, Pam, brought her daughter, Lizzy, to Children's to have some tests done.  It was so wonderful to see Pam.  My mom, my sister, Shanny, and I all met Pam at the hospital to keep her company while she sat with Lizzie.  Pam is the most giving person ever. She always comes bearing gifts!! She has a business where she makes the most amazing cakes EVER....they are super moist and delicious!!! She always brings us a cake or something like that. She is just so giving. We all love her!! We grew up in the same neighborhood in Fort Smith.  We moved when I was 6 but until then we played together on a regular basis.  Right after this picture was taken, Shanny got to meet Michelle Duggar. She LOVES the Duggars and says Michelle makes her want to be a better Christian. Shanny was definitely blessed getting to meet Michelle but I think Michelle was even more blessed getting to meet Shanny. Shanny prays for Josie and got to tell her so and also got to...

Blog2print

Y'all, I had my blog made into a book and I LOVE it!!!! I had it done by this company.  I chose Blog2print because it was the easiest.  They just did it all for me and it was delivered really fast, too! Anyway, Lamar and I really enjoyed reading it in bed the other day and reminiscing.  It made me want to blog more. I wouldn't remember half the things that go on in my life if I didn't write about them.  I started a xanga blog in 2004 and blogged almost daily. I really need to get that blog made into a book, too.  The only thing is that Blog2print doesn't do xanga blogs. I am sure I can find a company who does, though.  I think I can do it on BookSmart but that seemed a lot harder to me and I'm all about easy!!!! Anyway, here's my book (it is about the same size as a yearbook).

Dallas trip

My great aunt, Jane, died last week.  Here we (Hannah, Rosy, and I) are at Jane's funeral by her beautiful flowers.  She worked at Tipton Hurst for years and they sent these gorgeous flowers with butterflies all over them. Jane loved butterflies and always wore a butterfly pendant that David (her husband of well over 50 years) gave her.  I learned from her obituary that she also worked for the FBI.  I don't know how I missed that all these years but I thought that was neat...I think that would be such a fun job depending on what department you worked in.  Hannah had Bunco at her apartment on Thursday night. It was so much fun because Marci and my Mom got to sub, so all my sisters and mom got to play! It was great! Marci won first prize (most Buncos) and got a tee-shirt that said, "That's how I roll...Bunco".  HA! :) She gave it to me since she doesn't play Bunco.  Hannah made Granny's soup and had french bread. I couldn't eat the soup, of course, :s...

Pinnacle Mountain with Sunshine. :)

I has such a fun playdate with Rosy on Saturday. It was absolutely gorgeous outside so I decided to take her on her first trip to Pinnacle Mountain.  She was SO cute!!! Before we went, I told her we had to get the necessary things to take to Pinnacle:  a fanny pack (I told her these were considered kind of nerdy but you gotta do what you gotta do), hand sanitizer, and a camera.  She told me that she thought I should take my pink fanny pack instead of my black one (just assuming I would have a pink fanny pack, of course). HA! :)  On the way there, I was talking about a Dallas sister trip coming up and telling her how she was going to get to spend special time with her daddy, Poppy, and Mar.  Somehow we got into the discussion of how old Poppy was and she said, "Poppy is OLD!!! He is the oldest person I KNOW!!!".  ;) She then told me that she wanted to go to Dallas with the girls and I told her that she had to be an adult to go.  She wanted to know what ...

Teeth and Floor Makeover

Well, I had my teeth redone last Friday.  They were just too white for me! Some people really liked them and some didn't...but I'm the one that had to live with them and while I loved them at first, once I saw pictures, I thought they were WAY too white!   Here they are before...they actually don't look as white as they usually did in this picture but you will see in the next picture why I felt like I could light the way in the dark with my teeth. :)   WHOA!!! FLOURESCENT!!!! And, here they are now. They were supposed to be one shade darker but they ended up being a shade and a half darker but I'm fine with it. They are more natural now, I think. And, yes, I know I have a towel on my head and no make up on. I also know that I'm obviously vain or I wouldn't care so much about my teeth but one battle at a time...one battle at a time. :) Here's a picture....not so white and flourescent anymore.  I sure do love this baby girl!!! She's my sunshine!!! ...
