Well, we're putting our house up for sale. We are going to downsize. I think it's the smart thing to do because it's just me and Lamar in this big house almost all the time. Macy is here on some weekends and for 3 months in the summer but we still have a really big house for just 3 people. It's rare that I ever even go upstairs. I decided to just start looking online at houses and the day I did, I found this adorable house. Not only is it white with black shutters with dormer windows but it also has a front porch. It has my name written all over it. It's in our price range, too, and in a good neighborhood. They are asking less than $100 a square foot which is very rare for a cute house in a good neighborhood. It's also 2,700 square feet...not too big and not too small. Anyway, Lamar called our realtor today to make an appointment to see it. We were going to go on Friday. Well, Virginia called back to say it already has a contract on it. :( I'm disappointed b...

This n' That

Hannah got her hair cut last week and had it straightened, too. I think her hair is so beautiful! I sure wish I would have gotten her hair!!! :) I would LOVE to have that gorgeous thick hair! Rosy got her Mama's hair. Hannah's baby boy is due on June 6th, actually that is when he will come because she's having a C-section. Hannah and Justin decided on a name...Banner! I love it! It's not common at all and it has a good Bible meaning. Rosy has been so funny.....she has been calling her baby brother Amadeus! When people ask her what his name is, she says, "Amadeus"! HA! :) We keep telling her his name is Banner and she insists that it's Amadeus! SO funny! Macy came home this weekend for Easter. I love having her home. She has grown up so much this year in college. She takes the trash out on her own without us asking! She also cleans up but she's always done that (except for in her bedroom). Madie came over on Friday night and they cooked a ton of v...

Ro's straight hair :)

Rosy came over last week and asked me to straighten her hair. She has beautiful naturally curly hair just like her mother but occasionally she wants it straightened. She was SO cute after I straightened it for her. She kept twirling around and brushing her hair. She kept looking at it in the mirror. She loved it! She said her mom wasn't going to recognize her. :) I asked her how she felt and she said, "Different" and then she said, "I feel like YOU!" :) So precious! That baby girl means the world to me. She's my sweet little sunshine. She was over for a "play date" today and she told me she wanted me to call her "Ro" and she was going to call me "Had". :) She has such a soft heart. We don't have cable and we never ever watch TV but when I'm at the Athletic Club walking, all the TV's are going and one night I watched The Biggest Loser and was HOOKED!!! It was a 2 hour special so I just kept walking and walking and wal...

Love my Girls!

I'm about to say goodbye to my fun convertible.  I actually don't drive it much. I drive my Honda Odyssey.  My friends always laugh at me because I'd much rather drive my van than my nice convertible.  It's just so much more convenient.  Now on beautiful days, I'll take the convertible!!! :) Lamar has been talking to car dealerships all day trying to find a good trade in for my sweet little car. Actually, Lamar is the one who has ended up driving my convertible that he bought me 5 years ago.  He just wants something cheap to drive a couple of miles to and from work. He drove to Dallas from Monroe to pick me up this car.  The Dallas dealer bought him a one way airline ticket to Dallas and Lamar drove my Audi back to Monroe.  He did it all in one day. I have loved having a convertible....before this one, I had a BMW convertible for a couple of years (I loved it but it was WAY too small) so I've been driving convertibles for 7 years.  And, ...
Last week, my sweet friend, Pam, brought her daughter, Lizzy, to Children's to have some tests done.  It was so wonderful to see Pam.  My mom, my sister, Shanny, and I all met Pam at the hospital to keep her company while she sat with Lizzie.  Pam is the most giving person ever. She always comes bearing gifts!! She has a business where she makes the most amazing cakes EVER....they are super moist and delicious!!! She always brings us a cake or something like that. She is just so giving. We all love her!! We grew up in the same neighborhood in Fort Smith.  We moved when I was 6 but until then we played together on a regular basis.  Right after this picture was taken, Shanny got to meet Michelle Duggar. She LOVES the Duggars and says Michelle makes her want to be a better Christian. Shanny was definitely blessed getting to meet Michelle but I think Michelle was even more blessed getting to meet Shanny. Shanny prays for Josie and got to tell her so and also got to...

Blog2print

Y'all, I had my blog made into a book and I LOVE it!!!! I had it done by this company.  I chose Blog2print because it was the easiest.  They just did it all for me and it was delivered really fast, too! Anyway, Lamar and I really enjoyed reading it in bed the other day and reminiscing.  It made me want to blog more. I wouldn't remember half the things that go on in my life if I didn't write about them.  I started a xanga blog in 2004 and blogged almost daily. I really need to get that blog made into a book, too.  The only thing is that Blog2print doesn't do xanga blogs. I am sure I can find a company who does, though.  I think I can do it on BookSmart but that seemed a lot harder to me and I'm all about easy!!!! Anyway, here's my book (it is about the same size as a yearbook).

Dallas trip

My great aunt, Jane, died last week.  Here we (Hannah, Rosy, and I) are at Jane's funeral by her beautiful flowers.  She worked at Tipton Hurst for years and they sent these gorgeous flowers with butterflies all over them. Jane loved butterflies and always wore a butterfly pendant that David (her husband of well over 50 years) gave her.  I learned from her obituary that she also worked for the FBI.  I don't know how I missed that all these years but I thought that was neat...I think that would be such a fun job depending on what department you worked in.  Hannah had Bunco at her apartment on Thursday night. It was so much fun because Marci and my Mom got to sub, so all my sisters and mom got to play! It was great! Marci won first prize (most Buncos) and got a tee-shirt that said, "That's how I roll...Bunco".  HA! :) She gave it to me since she doesn't play Bunco.  Hannah made Granny's soup and had french bread. I couldn't eat the soup, of course, :s...
