My dad is the best dad ever!! (Father's Day)

Let me just start by saying that I have the best dad in the whole world! I really do! I am so proud to be his daughter! I cannot even begin to tell you how many times different people have come up to me and told me that my dad is the nicest man they have ever met.  People love my dad because he is humble and kind.  He loves the Lord with all his heart, soul, and mind, too.  He loves fun and always made sure we had lots of it growing up. We had all kinds of fun things like go carts, unicycles, a ping pong table and a pinball machine, LOTS of animals (gerbils, ducks, geese, birds, and dogs), and he always made sure we went on family vacations.  He made sure we saw Disney World and saw the Colorado mountains and learned to ski.  My mom, of course, contributed to the fun! Behind every good man is a good woman.  It was also very important to my dad that we knew all about Jesus.  I have memories from a very young age of my dad readin...
Is anybody else having trouble updating the latest update for the iPhone? I have tried to update it 3 times and it gets stuck on backup.  I googled it and it seems to be a common problem.  I am planning on getting the iPhone 4 so I'm not too worried about it.  I LOVE the iPhone I have. I have had it for 1 1/2 years and have dropped it so much and there's not even a scratch on it.  This one has been so wonderful that I'm a little nervous to get another one...but I've heard the iPhone 4 is the bomb and I'm eligible for an upgrade, so I'm going to get it!! :) I will LOVE the camera with a flash and 5 megapixels! I will also like being able to put my apps in different folders.  My iPhone doesn't have video on it so I know I'll love that, too! I'm excited! :) Mar and Rosebud playing with Play-Doh. HA! :) Aren't they cute?! Rosy calls Mar, Mar-e-doodle.  I don't know where she came up with it but it's so cute! I sure do love that precious ang...
I'm trying to update my blog.  I'm  so behind.  This has been such a busy summer.  It has also been a VERY hot summer!! I don't remember it ever being this hot before.  We have gotten a little bit of a break today and last night from the extreme heat.  I appreciate it more than ever because Calli and I walk every night in this heat. We have to walk at night because it's just too hot to go in the day. I think I'd literally have a heat stroke.  The heat index has been up to 110 on some days.  It's just TOO hot!!! Today is a welcome break from the extreme heat...there's just less humidity and it's only 87 degrees at 6:30 pm and I know the heat index isn't as bad.  There was even a breeze today. :) Friends from junior high school.  Love these girls! We all met at Larry's Pizza one Tuesday because Liann Miller was in town (she's the 2nd one from the left).  She lives in Dallas...the rest of us live here.  We miss her! She has 2 li...

The last year in my THIRTIES!! :s

I just realized that Blogger got a new format.  I think it's probably been here for awhile but I just noticed.  There's even a spellcheck!! YAY!! :) Well, I turned 39 on May 27th. I can't believe this is my last year in my thirties.  I remember how old I felt when I turned 21! HA! I think I felt younger in my 30's than in my 20's...strange, I know. Anyway, on my actual birthday, we had our sister lunch that we always have.  I chose the Terrace restaurant, which is my favorite!! The chicken terrace is AMAZING!! It has this yummy cream cheese sauce in the middle of it. :) I also made my own birthday cake....red velvet by the Pioneer Woman. I can't make it very much because it's just too tempting...like an alcoholic having alcohol in the house.  I seriously will eat it all day long!! I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that cake!!!   Here we are at the Terrace. :)   Lamar surprised me with this cute little bag and this wonderful salad bowl. I love the green! He has ...

11 YEARS! :)

I am so behind on blogging. I haven't even written about my 11 year anniversary, which was on May 25th. Lamar brought me flowers a few days earlier, which was so sweet, because he said it was a very special week. My birthday is 2 days after our annivesary. Lamar came home from work with flowers and after that we headed to Kobe. We love Japanese steakhouses!! The fried rice, the salad, the soup, the veggies, and the steak...YUM!!! Oh, and we had the whole table all to ourselves!! It was GREAT!!! After that, we headed to Maggie Moo's for dessert.  He always gets a malt and I either get red velvet or chocolate better batter with marshmallow cream and caramel mixed in.  DELICIOUS! The really neat thing is that there was a rainbow after we ate...it was a full double rainbow!! Just gorgeous!!! It seems like God is always giving us a gift on our anniversary....last year a gorgeous sunset on one side of the ocean and a beautiful thunderstorm on the other (at Sunset Key)....th...

Baby Banner is here!!! :)

My goodness, it's been a long time since I've blogged. I'm about to go to sleep. I'm super tired!! So much has happened in the past couple of weeks since I've written. Blogging for me is like scrapbooking (when I used to scrapbook)...once I get behind, I never want to catch up because it's too overwhelming. I've been super busy this summer. I'm hardly ever home. I'm LOVING this summer, though, even though it's as hot as Hades outside!! :) Anyway, Banner is here and has been for 2 weeks! He's ADORABLE!! I'll write all about him hopefully tomorrow. I don't want to miss blogging about his entry into this world. My precious Sunshine is the best big sister EVER!!! Good night! :) More later.
