My mom is doing so much better!!! She is home now and healing. We are so thankful! Here she is with Rosebud the day she got home from the hospital. She gave Rosie a present for her homecoming. :) People have been so nice...they have prayed, brought tons of food, sent cards, etc. It feels so good to see people love the way people have loved my family through this. Mar and I went to the Love and Respect video conference at our church this weekend. It was GREAT!!! We've read the book and it was really good but the conference was even better. Emerson Eggerich is a really talented and entertaining speaker. We really enjoyed it! Hannah and Justin went, too, which was fun. I did, however, leave early to do this: Eat lunch with friends from junior high and high school. :) It was fun to see everyone! At one point, Kendra and Darcy were talking about pilates and they said that while people are in Pilates class, they have gas a lot!!! :) I thought they were kidding but they weren't. They ...
My mom is in the hospital. She's okay but she wasn't for awhile there. Lamar and I headed to Lousiana on Friday and Saturday morning I got a call from my sweet friend, Calli, telling me she was so sorry about my mom and so glad that she had to go through all she did. My heart literally started racing. I had no idea what she was talking about! I immediately called home and the call wouldn't go through because I forgot to put in the area code so I called Calli and she told me that my mom had to have an emergency hysterecomy. I was so relieved when I found out because I was thinking she was in a wreck or had a stroke or something. I didn't realize how serious the situation was until yesterday after church or I wouldn't have been relieved. Early Saturday morning, she woke up and had lost 4 pints of blood. She woke my dad up and he called the ambulance. They came and got her and my dad did a D&C (he's an OBGYN) on her which usually stops the bleeding. When that d...
Probaby most of you already know about what has been going on with Harper from Kelly's blog but if not, click here. We were in Louisiana yesterday and I was thinking about Kelly having her precious baby. I didn't have access to a computer but late last night, I checked my Facebook on my Blackberry and saw some of the status updates about Harper and Kelly. I couldn't believe it. I immediately started praying. I fell asleep last night praying for that baby and woke up this morning and immediately checked Kelly's website on my phone and saw that Harper was stable!!! She had thousands of people praying for her!!! God really did work a miracle! She is still sick, though so please pray, pray, pray for this precious baby and complete healing of her little body.

Blog Makeover

I decided it was time for a new blog makeover so I had Jenny at Pink Armchair Designs do it and I love it!!! All of her designs are adorable!!! I wish I knew how to do stuff like that...how much fun!!! Lamar surprised me with flowers this week and they were gorgeous! I love the vase! I have the most amazing man imaginable. I am so thankful for him. I feel God's grace so much when I think about Him giving me Lamar. I so don't deserve him but God just gave him to me because I asked and He loves me. My beautiful flowers. :) Our Bunco group started this week. I absolutely LOVE Bunco! It's so much fun! There are so many reasons I love this game other than it's just a fun game.....fellowship with other women, yummy food, fun gifts, and lots of laughing! Here's my Bunco group. One thing I love about this group is that there were a few people that I had never met before so it's a chance to meet new people. Everyone was so nice and fun. My sister, Hannah, is in the group...

Blast from the Past

I had a couple of friends from Facebook request that I put pictures from high school on there so here are just a few of the many that I found. FUN! :) CHAD!!! He was my best guy friend in high school. I absolutely loved him! He was super fun all the time and was always happy. He loved sunsets and even would crimp (remember those crimpers ?) my hair for me. I still love him! He's Dr. Rodgers now! SARAH!!! Oh how I love Sarah. She's been my friend since we were 5 and 6. She lived across the street from me growing up and was like a sister. She went on all our vacations with us and spent the night with me almost every night. If she wasn't spending the night with me, I was spending the night with her. This picture makes me laugh so hard! She has a clippy on her nose!!! Who knows! :) Sarah will be in town this week so I get to have lunch with her! YEA! Piper, me, and Sarah in a photo booth. Piper and I have been friends since birth. Our moms were friend and pregnant together......
Beth Moore is challenging siestas on her blog to memorize 2 Bible verses a month. Well, I'm up for the challenge! This is my favorite verse right now! I just love it. I've had this note card by my computer desk for months now. I have it somewhat memorized but not completely embedded in my heart and soul like it needs to be so I thought I'd start out easy and memorize this one first. I can't imagine a better verse for me. First of all, it talks about how God delights in us. I LOVE that!!! And, I'm a pretty fearful person so Him calming my fears really appeals to me. But, not only does He calm our fears, He does it with LOVE!!! And, I am such a music person. I love music so much. It's one of my favorite things in life so thinking of Him rejoicing over little ole me with joyful songs makes my heart want to explode! I just love this verse so much. The mighty Savior part is pretty awesome, too. I already think I know the verse I'm going to memorize for the 15th.....
Lamar has been off work all week! This is the first time he's ever been off work that we've been home.....usually when he takes off it's for vacation. I've always wanted him to be home for a week where we could just relax and do fun things in our own town. Unfortunately, we've both been sick with colds and haven't felt like doing anything. I am just now getting better and he's just starting his cold. :s The most exciting thing we did was go to Best Buy for a few minutes and try to get doughnuts morning before last...both places were closed...we waited too late (which should tell you a little something about how late we've been sleeping). Today, we were going to get out and do something. We were going to at least go to dinner tonight but when it came time, we both felt too bad. We did end up watching Flywheel with May, Asa, and Andy. What a wonderful movie! I've seen it more than a few times and every single time it blesses me. If you haven't seen...
