It's been WAY too long since I've blogged. I haven't even read my blog lists in awhile. Anyway, Macy just got back from 9 days in Colorado and I really wanted to write about something she told me. She said she was in a store and there was a man buying some socks and gloves and he didn't have enough money. She said they were on sale for around $3. Anyway, she went up to him and asked him if she could please buy him those socks and gloves. Can I just say that my cup runneth over?!!! Yes, it runneth over. I am so thankful that I have a daughter who feels for others and loves the Lord and shows it!!! God watched over May May while she was gone in some really neat ways that I'll have to write about later when I have more time...Mar's ready for bed. Macy also got a roommate assigned to her that she has been talking to and really likes...she even plays softball!!! I asked Macy if she wrote on her roommate form that she played softball and May told me she never turned i...
Mar and I have decided to go here for our 10 year anniversary. I am so excited! This is my kind of place. The motto of the island is "Do Nothing". I can't wait to go here and just relax with Mar. They've got hammocks all over the island and I can just imagine lying in a hammock with my love for hours. I just love doing nothing by the ocean more than anything else in the world! I can't wait!!! Only a couple of more months and we're there!!! Speaking of a couple more months...May May graduates on May 22nd! I cannot believe it! Senior Sunday is May 10th. This time next year she will be finishing up her freshman year in college. Hard to believe! I am so glad she'll only be 1 hour away from us!!! :) I think we are switching our phone service to AT&T. If so, Macy's graduation present will be an iPhone. One of the positive things about her not reading my blog is that I can say things like that! :) Anyway, our phones don't work in our house very well ...

Not Me Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head on over here to see what everyone else has NOT been doing this week. I've never done Not Me Monday but I think it's so cute...I'm going to give it a try. I have definitely NOT eaten way too many Hershey eggs and Goldfish in the last hour. I also have NOT gotten absolutely nothing I set out to do today done. I have not been lazy for no reason while the laundry and a beautiful day waits on me. My computer did not die on me last week. I did not go to El Dorado this weekend and watch my daughter do an awesome job catching in softball. Last week, I definitely did not let Rosie eat a rice crispy treat followed by a bag of doughnuts, M&M's, and goldfish! :) I was not 40 minutes late for church yesterday and I definitely didn't sit out in the foyer to watch the end of the sermon....no, not me...everyone knows I would never neglect church for an extra few minutes of sleep. And, last but ...
UPdate: I just looked at my blog over at my mom's house and the cute little font that I see at my computer is just plain font on hers so I guess to see the cute font, you have to have Pea Kassidy installed on your computer. Oh well. I am trying to blog from Blogger for Word … we'll see if it works. I love this font! It's called Pea Kassidy from Fonts for Peas . Mar is sitting next to me on his new machine that he bought for his office. It's really pretty cool … it's a crown machine. I am getting trained on it, too … why you ask? I don't know … I guess because on occasion I assist him and I'm going to Dallas with him as his assistant to get trained so I might as well learn what I can before we go. May May is sick. L She has bronchitis. She has been in Fayetteville this weekend visiting her dad … .it was Addy's birthday and she goes up every year for her birthday party … her grandparents are always there from Nebraska, too. Anyway, she came home with a bi...
Justin got his acceptance letter to medical school on Friday! We are all so excited! He'll be a great doctor! Hannah and Justin Every time Rosie comes over these days, she always wants me to straighten her hair and I love to do it for her. She loves it! Look at her expression in this picture...especially in the mirror on the far right...her mouth is wide open with excitement! After I straightened her hair, I put it in ponytails and braids to show her different ways we could fix her hair. She said, "This is SO MUCH FUN!!!". I don't think I've ever seen such a girly girl toddler! It's so cute. Last night, when I was straightening her hair, I put on a long white nightgown with ruffles (because I got hot) and she told me how much she loved my nightgown and that she needed to wear it. When I told her I didn't have one in her size, she started crying and said we needed to go to her house to get one of her pretty nightgowns to wear. :) Poor baby girl...she's ...

What's on your wall Wednesday

I have never done this before but think it's such a fun idea! Hopefully, I will link everything right. I got this idea from a blog I follow and she got this idea from Barb at Grits and Glamour ...if you want to participate or see other walls on Wednesday, go on over there and take a peek. I decided to show you what's on my bedroom walls. I read an article a few years ago on making your bedroom all about you and your spouse so I really tried to do that in our room...here are my walls in my bedroom. Here's our bedroom...the sign above the bed says: I have these photo colleges on both sides of the armoire. I made the first one after we had been married 4 years and the second one after we had been married 8 years. I got the iron wall hanging above the fireplace at Ballard Designs. I would have never picked it out (not because I didn't like it but I just wouldn't have thought of it) but my friend was giving me decorating ideas for our house in Monroe and she picked this...
I've gone too long without blogging, as usual, and now have way too much to catch up on. I realized I'm one day late on my Beth Moore scripture challenge and needed to post it......so, here's my verse for the next 2 weeks and believe me, it's a good one...and probably applies to me more than most verses considering I say whatever comes to mind...or at least I do with my husband and most family members. I need to write this verse on my heart and soul more than any other verse. Proverbs 21:23 (New Living Translation) 23 Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble. My week in pictures Sunshine wanted me to straighten her hair so I did and she LOVED it! She danced and pranced all around and kept saying, "Look how long my hair is!". One of the Valentine's Rosie gave me. I gave her the dress she is wearing and the little people that she is holding up. She is so precious to me!!! Happy Heart's Day! This was actually...
